U.s. ladies' soccer star Hope Solo has issued a conciliatory sentiment after she was blamed for striking two of her relatives at a Seattle home a weekend ago.
"I might want to apologize to my fans, fellow team members, mentors, promoting accomplices and the whole US Soccer and Seattle Reign FC groups for my inclusion in an exceptionally tragic occurrence this previous weekend," Solo said in a post on her Facebook page Thursday.
Solo, the national group goalkeeper and a two-time Olympic gold-decoration victor, entered a not-blameworthy supplication in court Monday. She confronts two checks of fourth-degree down home viciousness strike.
The court discharged Solo, 32, on the conditions that she maintain a strategic distance from contact with her stepsister and a 17-year-old nephew, both of whom she is blamed for ambushing, and that she not drink liquor. A pretrial hearing was set for August 11.
"I comprehend that, as an open figure, I am held to a higher standard of behavior," she said Thursday. "I consider important my obligations as a good example and earnestly apologize to everybody I have baffled."
'Inebriated and upset'
Police have said Solo attacked her relatives early Saturday. Officers reacted to a 911 bring in which a male reported that a lady would not quit "hitting individuals" or go out, a police explanation said.
At the home, officers heard an unsettling influence. Inside, Solo seemed inebriated and resentful, as indicated by police.
