a very special story -
Whilst Ben and i were travelling down the gorgeous road between San Francisco and L.A and stopped to take some photos at Big Sur, a very special meeting happened.
Only one other car was stopped and it was a very special couple that asked me to take a photo on their camera of them. It turned out Kelly and Terry had just been married an hour beforehand and had no photographer.
It was very special to be able to capture something for them to remember this special day.. and wow, what a gorgeous location we met .. it turned out we were both heading to Deetjen's - a divine little rustic hotel and accomodation , so we ended up joining Kelly and Terry together for dinner.. what a special meeting.. the universe truly at work ... big sur magic...

Liz Arcus Wins Six Accolades of Excellence
in the2010 Awards of Excellence 16x20 Print Competition
Liz Arcus of Shepparton, Australia, has received special honours in the WEDDING & PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHERS INTERNATIONAL (WPPI) 2010 Awards of Excellence 16x20 Print Competition.
Designed to recognize outstanding photographers, the judging was held in Las Vegas, Nevada on March 6 and 7, 2010.
"Jamile", "Angela & Jeremy", "Lily & Jemima", "dancing man", "at the museum" & "untitled" each received an Accolade of Excellence in the Premier Image category.
Arcus competed against an international field of photographers to win such honours.
The Awards of Excellence 16x20 Print Competition awards are presented each year at the largest tradeshow, educational platform and convention in the United States for professional photographers. The 2010 competition included 3388 prints in 18 different categories submitted by photographers from all over the world.
